What it is and how it is made

The Velvet Rose Head is a set of loose artificial rose heads. Each head has velvet fabric petals on a plastic base. The petals feel soft to the touch and hold a layered shape with a tight rolled center. This is a flower head only, so there is no stem attached. You can add your own stem, wire, or clip to build the look you want.

The velvet finish gives the petals a quiet, matte look that reads well in low light and in photos. The plastic base keeps each head firm enough to hold its shape while you work with it.

Each pack includes 10 flower heads. Every head is 4 in (10 cm) across. That size suits small and medium projects where a full rose look matters but a long stem does not.

Ways to use the heads

Because there is no stem, you decide how each head sits. Push a wire or a faux stem into the plastic base to make a single rose. Glue the base to a clip, a pin, or a brooch back for wearables. Set heads into a bowl, a tray, or a vase to fill a space fast. Group them tight for a full arrangement or space them out for a lighter look.

The heads can be used outdoors, but velvet petals pick up dust and moisture over time. If you place them outside, keep them out of steady rain and direct sun so the color and the soft finish hold up.

Care and handling

Dust and light dirt come off with a dry cloth. Wipe each petal gently and let the head air dry before you store it. Do not soak the heads or wash them in water. To keep the shape, store them in a box or a bag where the petals are not pressed flat.

When you build an arrangement, handle the base rather than the petals. The plastic base takes the pressure, and the velvet stays smooth. If a petal bends, ease it back into place with your fingers.
